1245 on Market Street

The existing multi-family building is situated on a prominent street corner in Downtown San Diego’s East Village neighborhood. This first phase project addressed the need to update the staff workspaces, lobby, and common areas to reflect the wash of energy brought on by new ownership. A variety of spaces have been created to promote conviviality and community through a new program consisting of a library with personal workstations and a reading nook, a communal living room with views and access to the interior courtyard and a shared full kitchen and dining room large enough to accommodate gatherings of varying sizes. Phase II of this project will develop the courtyard into a multifunctional space full of amenities and update the streetside and interior courtyard elevations with a new and energetic color scheme.
