T7 Architecture is a San Diego based architecture and design firm that focuses on client specific work with a modern touch. We look for our inspiration from the values of our clients, their dreams and the sites at which we work. We meld those opportunities with the zoning, constructability, and budget constraints unique to each project to generate a specific solution.
New Project Update 🌊✨
T7 was commissioned by a visionary client to reimagine and modernize a coastal home for a growing family. Thoughtful additions enhance flow and livability, while opening up the interiors to create a stronger connection to the outdoors.
Mature trees were carefully preserved and woven into the site design, grounding the home in its natural setting. Expanded second-floor decks and a tucked-away roof deck create the perfect vantage point for Pacific Ocean sunsets.
A layered, refined material palette brings a fresh, contemporary feel—honoring the original home while elevating it for modern coastal living.

We are proud to present one of our latest projects. T7 was commissioned by a visionary client who desired an open, light-filled, coastal residence that created a private courtyard for entertainment and reflection on a tight coastal site.
Situated on a downslope lot, a bridge welcomes you to the upper-level living spaces with expansive views of the Pacific Ocean. Ample decks create multiple opportunities for outdoor living and sunset viewing and an ADU is tucked in off of the alley to create additional needed housing.

T7 draws inspiration from Tower 7…an old lifeguard tower once located on Torrey Pines State Beach in Southern California. Why you may ask? Besides being a happy place from my childhood where I spent countless hours in the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean, this spot sits at the intersection of air, light, and space all essential design elements that we bring to each project. A strong connection to the outdoors is a priority in our approach. These elements are fundamental to our design philosophy. Old highway 101 passes by on a graceful concrete bridge that spans the San Diego to Los Angeles railway line illustrating the brief yet rich history of California. The point of La Jolla and the sandstone cliffs are ever-present. Sun, wind, view drive the form for client specific architecture. And as the high tide of the ocean washes away the reminders of the day, we bring a clean slate and a fresh eye to each and every project.
